Different Languages
Neither Sumerian nor Semitic Akkadian are used any more. The last document written in Akkadian cuneiform dates around 100 A.D. Language has evolved into modern day society. The current most common language in Iraq is Arabic, which is one of two official languages, the other being Kurdish. However, a lot of Akkadian Dialect and grammatical structure can be found in unofficial languages around Mesopotamia. These can often be found in regional groups, and are known as the Mesopotamian Neo Aramiac languages.

Whilst the ancients of Mesopotamia used Clay Tablets to store literature, in the modern day we use digital tablets!

We also use paper as a non-digital writing material, as well as using it in books and magazines to read. Can you image trying to flip the pages of a giant clay book? We also no longer use the seals that Ancient Mesopotamians had used, although we do use stamps in a way similar to their use of seals.
