Slavery
A slave was nothing more than a belonging to his or her owner. Each slave is branded with its owners name, and if caught, the punishment for attempting to escape is severe, and the punishment for helping a slave escape is even worse. If a slave is hurt, the owner is compensated; not the slave themselves.
